Since pointed and sharp working materials are used, we recommend that you take part independently14 years and older.Forchildrenunder 12 years is the POTTERY PARTYnot suitable.

I made pottery myself at home, my own glazes, materials and clay, can I bring that with me?

What can I potter?

Is there an electric/pedal turntable?

no. Onemanual turntablesfor the processing of edges and closures are available.

What can I expect from freestyle pottery

After explaining the techniques and dealing with clay (30 minutes to start) becomes2.5 hourslongFreestyle pottery- It means thatno learning goalconsists. We   explain the techniques and how the sound can be edited.   There is no one-to-one support like there is in a workshop. ForQuestionsandtipsduring the pottery we are at any timeresponsive.

How long does it take until I can pick up my work?

Your ceramics are ready to be picked up 3 weeks after pottery.

Your clay work will be dried for 10 days and then 24 hours in biscuit firingburned. Through this process, the ceramic is ready for thefurther processingWithColoursor.Glaze.After that you havetwo options: 1. Transparent glaze(do we) in matt or glossy

2. Coloring in free painting(do you) This is followed by thesecond fire.Now is yoursCeramic waterproofandready to use.

Glazing and painting ceramics

Your clay work is only ready for it after the first firing and will be transparently glazed by us and then fired in a high fire.After firing, the ceramic is given a natural beige tone, either matt or glossy, as desired.

This process makes the ceramic impermeable to water. Food safety and dishwasher suitability depends onhowthe clay was put together and processed, so we cannot guarantee these properties in free pottery.  We therefore recommend that you create objects such as ring bowls, vases, pen holders, decorative objects.

I want to have my ceramic work colored and paint it myself

14 daysafter the POTTERY PARTY event, your home-made ceramic work is dried andburned. From then on you can place your work in one of ourSaturday events(free painting) withglaze(en) and different techniquescolor. Simply register for one of our studio events.studio feeis €14.90. The price for thesecond fireis between €6.90 and €19.90, depending on the size.

Is my self-made ceramic food-safe and dishwasher-safe?

noAt the POTTERY PARTY we do not guarantee the production of  utility ceramics (functional-aesthetic, food-safe,  dishwasher-safe ceramics).Why? Useful ceramics, which you can paint with us outdoors, for example  as well as products bought in retail are the result of a long _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-58d6badscf and finding process.
